Now is the Time

Do not be distracted
from the peace,
from the presence
that is yours to hold,
that is yours to let go
into your life
into your living,
into a world
grasping for peace
misunderstanding presence.

For to know presence is to know God.
For to know God is to know presence.

We can only love
in the now.
Now is the time
to love.

It is love that saves us,
always has been,
always will be.

Words Between

In quiet faith
allowing
the voice of creation
the audience of my heart,
I trust
the flow
of spirits to my words.

Between the lifeline of a future
and the memory of a past,
I let go and reach out,
only to grasp back
toward the reality of now.

Love for what I do,
Love for whom I do it,
assurance nourished.

Such assurance,
arrogance absent.
Rather, such is
confident presence,
and present love.

Words gather love.
Words grow love.
And pressed between,
I must give words.
I must write for you.

Yes, It Matters

Good and right.
Right and good.
What does it matter?

It matters only
as it matters to you.

And matter it does
that you do what
is good and right,
and right and good,
in moments
where you find yourself
standing
in the middle
of presence,
with presence,
letting go.

About being right
it is not.
About doing good
it is not.

Being the truth
of who you are
guides the truth
of what you do.

Being,
and consistently holding
carefully and confidently
our humanness, together,
assures loving resonance.

Doing,
then placing such energy
in the flow,
unencumbered original self,
flows into generous freedom.

Good and right.
Right and good.
Does it really matter?

It matters really,
as it matters to you;
so it matters to us.

Earning the Return

Oft revealed, a return
to where you began.

Through years unfolding
a trail hacked
hard work a blade.

Beneath each step
a path unfolding.

Tested, fired, purified
confirmed and worn.

Emerging into a clearing
intensity of flow you feel
from the course, schooled to hear
generously opened by what you see.

In this moment, now
you discover yourself.

On one side, steady
on the other, ruffled
and thus, equipped.

From instructor
through instruction
in the now you release
the poetry of presence.

From teaching you came
to learning you return.

Intense Influence

Suffer we must
at some locus
and junctures many.
Yes, no one immune.

For him a suffering visitation.
What the trouble was
for certain known by only he.
Certainly most cared not.
But most certainly not you,
you cared intensely.

Intense, a moniker
for you, presumably.
But only to those
seeing with eyes depthless.

Purposeful
Passionate
Present
abundantly more befitting
to the abundance of impact,
the consequence of your care.

So care you do
and caringly you did
what you knew was right
what you knew was good.

Ultimately, what effect
from the cause of care?
Time does tell, to be sure.
Telling as well, your leading hand
lent with intention
guided by your Trueness.

Driven by connection, purposefully
Drawn toward vision, fulfilling
intentionally you act
in presence clear
clearly trusting
creativity inciting.

Present Value

A grand grandfather
things he would say
in manners unforgettable
a rhythm in one word.

“Presently” he would respond
when very close we shared
a time between
then and then.

The past
speak it does not
silent to most things new.
The future
too, is mute
of value present and true.

A voice
resonant, clear
calls our name.

Call it does
from a moment.
Call it does
in the moment.

Listen we must,
to hear
is to trust.

And presently we know
then in now,
now in then.

As the grand father taught
resonant and clear
the voice within
in presence only we hear.

In the Middle Space

Seemingly strange, yes indeed
in the two between, you lead.

Tense it will often feel
the pressure of such place.
Yet it is very real
your leadership in such space.

And space is what you give
from your trueness fitted.
And in this space we live
our own reality committed.

From me, expect only my best
in the swirl of trust, leave the rest.

Gathering
together we see with delight
Giving
together we stand in light
Growing
together we release what is right.

So open us to a creative presence.
And what you’ve diligently gathered
gives us freedom in our essence,
growing us in what has surely mattered.
