Letting Go

Wisdom, she smiles.
Maybe even smirks.
The things we grasp,
so not worth the energy.

Let go.
Stop reaching out
to grab onto.
Let it all flow by,
with love, push it all
into the cloud of forgetting.

Washed into the Open

The journey of learning,
experientially,
road without end, reality.
To forgive such, necessary
for the sake of flow;
limitless, uninhibited freedom.

Experience is a teacher.
But do we learn?
Rhythm, the acquisition,
the purchase of mastery
with the currency given
since our beginning.

Yet, what do we master?
Surely not others,
probably not ourselves.
The mastery, less about expertise,
more about tireless contemplation;
compassion for oneself,
and all,
as One.

And within contemplative freedom
we learn
to walk
in the cadence
of simplicity and truth,
the reality of our own currency,
our poetry and our love.

Realness, buried under the sediment
of expectation.
Spirit, attentive to the strokes
of Trueness,
sluicing deposits of limitation.
And, stepping
into the stream
of who we really are,
we are washed into the open,
delivered yet again onto
our own path.

Words Between

In quiet faith
allowing
the voice of creation
the audience of my heart,
I trust
the flow
of spirits to my words.

Between the lifeline of a future
and the memory of a past,
I let go and reach out,
only to grasp back
toward the reality of now.

Love for what I do,
Love for whom I do it,
assurance nourished.

Such assurance,
arrogance absent.
Rather, such is
confident presence,
and present love.

Words gather love.
Words grow love.
And pressed between,
I must give words.
I must write for you.

Grounded in Respect

As a child, respectful
with you I can be,
only as first, I
can be with me.

Love honors being.
From the chambers
of love,
voice moves you.

Love honors doing.
From the chambers
of love,
voice moves others.

Being, alone
may withhold resonance.
Released, respectful energy
in a world needy.

Doing, alone
cannot say enough.
However, an amplifier
for voice it can be.

To be unconsciously present
too much the norm,
walking through moments
too conscious of self.

The full flow
of voice it takes
to feel, hear, and see
grasping love
as source and energy.

In the beginning
nothing it cost
to just be.
Trust was easy
from a center
clear and free.

In the moments, loving tension
at our disposal, always.

Being, resting in respectful trust.
Doing, lovingly grounded in trustful respect.

Silent Freedom

Mystery
not the agent of fear,
of what we are afraid.

The absurdity of it all,
our angst, our anxiety,
fixed in a demand to control.

Whatever is missing
has been dismissed
in the waste of fear.

And mysterious still
how one might believe,
ever was there
any chance of control.

What then was dismissed
from fear, without thought?

Was it loss?
Was it love?

Providence not trusted,
in the flow of it all, it all
moves with us, or without us,
but so wants the divineness
of our presence.

In a loud world,
a distracting swirl,
silence is a mystery.

But silence we need,
for more than a bit, to hold,
and without judgment, release.

Letting go,
how can this be,
possibly be,
the way to steer,
a source to guide?

Simple it is,
to be led out there
one has to be guided
in here.

And the source,
the guide,
from your beginning,
is away from the fray.

In the silence,
in the depths
of The Presence,
is the middle
of your being.

Here, in the middle
of who you are,
since the start,
is inclusive freedom.

The Reality of Experience

A long and loving look
at what is before me
a page-turner of a book
a beautiful picture of reality.

Precious is my time
in the stream to be still
in the flow-of-it-all metaphorically
metaphorical not meaning not real
quite real it is
in what I see, hear, and feel.

Yes, in the stream splash trout
indeed a noise resounds
and if no one to hear is about
beauty still issues and abounds.

To flow is to be still
to be still is to flow
the holding makes me real
and releasing causes me to grow.

Yes, long and loving
is how I must continue to see
and still and flowing
is the experience of reality.

The Stream as Force

A Walk in Gratitude

A heart thought
just Be.
Be grateful in the being.
Allow gratefulness to fill.
Allow gratefulness to fulfill.

Okay, I’m in.
Today I will walk in gratitude.
Today I will do any and all
I do
with a grateful heart
and a mind of grateful thoughts.

It doesn’t have to be fast
these actions
these thoughts.
Each only has to be real.
The real me
since the beginning
just being
relaxed in the flow of it all.

At such source
I am reminded
in full, complete compassion
that all is one
now
being with the moment
I can see reality.
