Practically a lifetime ago, it seems.
A moment, enriching the years following.

Assignment given, paper and pen.
Words written, chore completed.

A teacher, called
beyond instruction.

For me, thankfully
a connection made,
important to her,
inspiriting to me.

In the presence of such love,
trust restored, mending animated.

In the presence of such love,
gift of encouragement, given.

In the presence of such love,
intuitive energy, released.

In her loving presence
soul gracefully stunned,
resuscitating resourceful faith.

Is it painful,
caterpillar to moth?
To the creature,
probably yes and no.
Yes, in possible struggle from cocoon,
in the unfolding flow of wings.
No, in the middle of joy,
transformative.

Even cocooned, wrapped
in transition,
already a lepidopteran,
secure in process
courage elemental.

What comes forth
from encasement seeming,
appearing new, is not
at all truly new.
What sightfully emerges
beauty original, always
and already present;
as it is with you.

From your past, interest driven.
From your future, strength drawn.
In your present, energy delivered.

Here’s the Thing

You know good things.
With such truth,
knowledge, and reality.

Time for you, a self true,
doing your best to see
energy with purpose to be.

Others see, so must you.
Not about ego this seeing,
the truth of where you are,
the truth of where you’ve been,
what you have done.

Why you do
what you do
is given to spirit.
This is trust.
This is faith.

Stand,
and face
the reality
of goodness.

You now move along the path
with life, living and being, doing.
Being who you are, gratefully.
Doing what you do, generously.

Quiet and Clear

Distraught and struggling
an answer to find,
to a question not heard.

Too often, lonely lives
in the thick of action,
whirling activity draining
the energy of who you are.

A journey toward lonely,
not always alone,
such is met.

Your work demands,
in working, expectations
soar, with no control.
Letting go, foreign.

A question
beautifully asked
intent unobstructed
seats you in the moment.

Let go, into
the question
listen, from that
present seat.

Comfort it’s not about
to disturb, not meant,
but both will occur
as the question opens.

Trusting what stirs within,
voices blend
quietly, clearly.

Many years have given
time to working
energy to work

Many things to do
my hands have found
variety I’ve known
and in the process
I’ve been opened by diversity

I’ve been drained
been spilled
I’ve been challenged
been fulfilled

A question I now live
about what to now give
A question to go deeper
A question to go higher

A question for being
A question for doing
a realization of source
an answer
Trueness

Learning from variety
understanding in diversity
ever more I know
voice must flow

In true form
formed by Trueness
I speak from life
I speak for living

If who I am
echoes in any chamber
of your fullness
it is because
you granted my voice
the privilege of resonance
beyond self

Of all I have done
and all I could do
the most loving thing
I know how to do
is to encourage
another human spirit.

And this is why I gather,
my energy to build and store
material I need
to continually be
creatively encouraging.

And this is why I give,
my energy released
through a life-giving and non-judgmental
way of being
with another spirit.

And this is why I grow,
my energy maintained
to gather and give
yet again
and again.

So yes, grow
is first about me
in order to remain
open enough to participate
in the growth
of the other.

Focus – A Pouring

I pour a cup
drink.
I pour for another
they drink.

To pour energy into anything
is to share the very self
in some form
with another.

As I pour self
am I used up?
Yes.
And no.

Depleted yes
what the cup held
yet at the source
more is brewing.

To source remaining connected
fully used up I cannot be
never really empty
again I’m filled.

It’s time to pour
once more.
