Bright Unknowing

Superfluous opinion, you’re not.
Yet trigger pulled, sending brightly
such divisive thinking into the air.

An opinion, only narcissism serves.
Egocentricity, and shallowness lightly,
simply wasting the burst of a flare.

Devastating challenge it was,
when such I realized,
of opinions, I must let go.

Wonderfully freeing it was,
truthful wound cauterized,
of presence, I can now know.

Inauthentic only, an opinion can be,
outwardly lashing,
misrepresentation externally told.

Authenticity, non-dualistic and free,
inwardly flashing,
oneness internally we can hold.

The Privilege

The privilege
of being true,
a meaning likely
best fitting
to the yearning
for freedom.

A day offered … each day
actually offered in much the same way;
a chance for presence,
the privilege of being true.

On this day,
in a context of presence,
privilege, upon writing the word,
suddenly, consciously,
includes me.

All of the journey,
all of my steps,
finds me thankful,
continually,
for the spirits I know,
the experience of each
securing the privilege.

The privilege
to know the I
that I am,
made this way,
for these steps,
for this path,
thankful I am
in Trueness.

To lean on strength
and the authentic self
is to blur the line
between work and play

Odd it is
to blur a line
to bind together
any two things
we must let go
of both

In the letting go
it comes together
the flow of who we are
in the Being
in the Doing

Judged we are not
only by Being
only by Doing
completed by both we are
as Being fills doing
and Doing fulfills being

Not in contradiction
Being and Doing
but necessary partners
for the privilege of seeing
for the directing of energy

That one thing
so important
listening to it
hearing it sharply
acting on it.

If I don’t, recklessly
I push it to the shadow.

But if I do listen
if I do hear
and consequently choose
liberated I am
by my own resonance.

And from authentic voice
a unique vibration
joins a larger cadence
and together we gather
and together we give
and together we grow.

In moments of presence
treasure waits.

Void of sympathy
the past haunts
And in alliance
the future taunts.

With empathetic focus
history teaches
And concurrently aimed
hope reaches.

Junctures of abundance
presence requires
Junctures of abundance
judgment expires.

And only in the moment
can another we really see
And only in the moment
can we each truly be.

With such present trueness
self we no longer chase
With such present trueness
we now walk in grace.

In moments of presence
treasure waits.

Only in the moment.

Attempting to be smart
but smart doesn’t arrive.
Strategic absurdity sets in
action stalls and plans crush.

Calculated anticipation is admired
expectations rule, future pulls,
and no one is here to engage.

A friend has said
wise she was
Interest creates Energy.

Voice is the core of energy
an articulation of authenticity
the rhythm of presence.

Suddenly it seems
but more gradual is reality,
One stands firm with voice
and love stands solid and present.

A self given
to the self
of the other.

A self given
but first given
to itself.

Thus the path of Impact
in a needy world,
A world in need
of soulful participation.

Your voice is the purest identification of your love as a leader.

In early 2011, I wrote this Poem for Voice:

The Layers of Life

From the inside out one lives
A living energized by the act of being.
From the core of self one gives
A giving energized in the act of seeing.

In seeing need, the voice moves
In authentic expression, the voice proves
What soul has to say
In midst of the fray
That love heals and the voice soothes.

Do you know how to identify your voice? Answer this simple question: “What is the one thing you hold so close in your core, that if it is not present in each interaction, then you know things will not be as they ought?” Don’t overthink this. Go with your intuitive impression. Whatever the word or phrase you used to answer, this is your Voice.

It is this one thing that is so easily hidden in the shadow. Why does voice become exiled to shadow? It is because the ego gets in the way of resonance. The ego is only concerned with what is on the outside−how we look in the world and to others. And the longer I live, the funnier this is to me; as I see how insecure many individuals unfortunately are, and that anyone would hold themselves in a negative, or positive, comparative light. And I’m most guilty!

Who you are at your core−where voice originates−is who you are, and this authenticity is just as it ought to be. But you see, I have to “voice” that, for my Voice is Love & Encouragement.

Beyond ego, into the depth of your Trueness, is your Voice. While ego is only concerned with how one looks on the outside, Voice guides us from the inside out.

So, how do we bring our unique voice out of our shadow? The first step is to answer the one thing question and become vividly aware of your voice. The next step is to allow such awareness flow and order into present consciousness. This simply means you become consistently committed to consciously bringing forth your voice in each interaction.

Such conscious application is indeed difficult; for the shadow desperately wants to reclaim your voice into ego-driven silence.

Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. −Gil Bailie

Your Voice, focused through A New Confidence, is a strength drawn from the shadow.
